Workshops at the HSBC National Center provide New York area educators a chance to learn new strategies to help their students better understand the world through the lens of economics, personal finance, and entrepreneurship. Bringing interactive lessons and content knowledge to workshop attendees, each session is taught by curriculum experts and master teachers. All participants leave with teaching resources and lesson plans created by the Council for Economic Education, and the workshops also provide an excellent networking opportunity. Educators with knowledge of economics and personal finance will find the workshops useful as materials covered are applicable across many subject areas.

The HSBC National Center opened June 4, 2009 in order to magnify the Council for Economic Education's cause by promoting the importance of K-12 economic, financial, and entrepreneurship education in the United States and internationally. The Center also showcases instructional materials, training programs, and state-of-the-art approaches to K-12 economic, personal finance, and entrepreneurship education. Previous programs have touched on topics such as the Financial Crisis, Play Dough Economics, How to Write Lesson Plans, and methods to teach students about entrepreneurship.
