Also Announces Appointment of Former Warner Music Group EVP and Former Ticketmaster UK Director, Paul Vidich, to Board of Advisers

Bandsintown, a leading concert ticket aggregator and upcoming event recommendation and notification platform, announced today new API partnerships with music discovery app Shazam, major record label EMI, and music marketing platform ReverbNation. The company now exposes its concert data to more than 50 million people monthly through its partner network.

Bandsintown also announced today the appointment of former Warner Music Group EVP and Former Ticketmaster UK Director, Paul Vidich to its board of advisers. At Warner Music, Mr. Vidich negotiated the first major label license agreement with Steve Jobs for iTunes, which set the precedent for Apple's subsequent acquisition of music rights from the other music majors.

As a ticketing partner to Shazam, Bandsintown now delivers tour dates and ticket links for the more than 60 million songs tagged each month on the Shazam, Shazam Encore and (SHAZAM)RED apps, and enables users to easily find local tour dates for tagged and recommended artists using the phone's automated geolocation functionality.

Through its partnership with ReverbNation, Bandsintown will empower the 20+ million music fans throughout the ReverbNation network to purchase tickets to upcoming events. Similarly, Bandsintown is working with EMI to promote access to the live events of artists on the label.

Shazam, EMI, and ReverbNation are the largest public partners to date in the Bandsintown partner network, which launched six months ago. As the first and only completely open and monetizable API of concert tickets and information, Bandsintown also boasts an active community of more than 70 developers utilizing its data in their music sites and applications.

Bandsintown gathers tickets and event info from more than 100 different ticketing companies in 160 countries, and currently lists more than 150,000 upcoming events in its database.
