Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services UK – headquartered in Warrington, Cheshire – are launching a new series of training & seminar sessions for manufacturers, retailers and importers of consumer goods in Europe.
The seminars, delivered at Bureau Veritas CPS laboratory in Warrington, will cover the safety and quality issues related to a large range of product lines including textiles, hardlines, electricals, toys, nursery products, bikes or lighters. Also, for manufacturers and retailers involved with the import and use of chemicals within the EU, Bureau Veritas also propose a session on the basics of the REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) European Directive.
Additionally, because global companies now have to face an increasing number of environmental, social and ethical issues, Bureau Veritas’ environmental & social technical experts will deliver seminars courses on “burning issues” such as Ecodesign and Corporate Social Responsibility.
The educational programme, delivered by market-sector experts, will be of value to all levels of staff, from trainee technologists through to buyers and designers. Delegates will have the opportunity to visit Bureau Veritas’ laboratory, see some tests performed and have informal discussions with BV technical consultants.
