Bellevue, WA (PRWEB) April 9, 2010
Election Trust, working closely with Scytl Secure Electronic Voting, successfully integrated that company's ePollBook technology for the 2010 King Conservation District (King CD) Board of Supervisors election. Scytl's ePollBook solution enabled Election Trust staff to authenticate 4,400 voters across seven county-wide Vote Centers which was nearly 60% more voters than participated in King CD's 2009 Board of Supervisors election.
"We do our best to encourage participation in our annual elections and were very pleased that, despite the fact we had six fewer Voting Centers than we'd had in 2009, we were able to accommodate this year's welcome surge in participating voters," said Sara Hemphill, King CD's Interim Executive Director. "We were again pleased to have Election Trust as our balloting management partner. And we look forward to working with Election Trust to find ways we can more efficiently enfranchise voters in future elections."
"King CD's poll-site challenge meant we had to both authenticate and 'flag' a voter as an election participant in real time in order to prevent duplicate voting across any of the seven county-wide Voting Centers," added John Bodin, Election Trust's Managing Partner. "Scytl's ePollBook empowered us to do just that, even given King County's million-plus voter data base. We look forward to collaborating with King CD to engage more and more district stakeholders in the years to come."
