Scala racks up 12 industry awards, including 2010 Display of the Year

We are honored by the 12 recent awards that acknowledge the latest applications our partners and customers have created using our software in so many industries.

Scala, the leading provider of end-to-end software solutions for digital signage and advertising management, has been recognized by two industry organizations for its involvement in innovative digital signage deployments. POPAI named Scala the winner of six awards, most notably Digital Display of the Year for the Miele Inspirience Centre. At the Apex Awards, held during the Digital Signage Expo in Las Vegas, six additional Scala-powered installations were recognized, including two Gold awards in the categories of retail and public spaces.

The installation receiving the most accolades was the Miele Inspirience Centre in the Netherlands. At the retailer’s showroom, Scala software connects more than 100 screens and more than 40 channels of customized high-definition content. An Apple iPod Touch helps customize the visitor experience by controlling elements, including local lighting, aroma dispersal, audio type and levels, and the content playing on screens close to the customer.

“We are deeply honored by the 12 recent awards that acknowledge the latest fantastic applications our partners and customers have created using our software across so many industries,” said Robert Koolen, President, Scala. “We will gladly upgrade our trophy case!”
