Stoquart purchases Celencia for its qualified translators and high customer satisfaction, greatly increasing its presence in the French market.

Stoquart SA, a language service provider built and managed by native linguists, has completed the acquisition of Celencia, a Sophia-Antipolis, France based translation company specializing in French translations for major language service providers. The acquisition extends Stoquart’s reach in France and builds its team, adding seven full-time, in-house translators to the Stoquart staff.

Stoquart is well known for offering high-quality translations in the arts, financial, medical, telecommunications and government sectors. The company also is a direct supplier to multi-language vendors, serving 50 percent of the translation and localization industry’s Top 25 companies. The acquisition of Celencia will strengthen it s sizable internal linguist department and extend its geographic reach.

“Our clients trust us because we maintain a large linguist staff that controls all translations and ensures quality and timely completion of projects,” said Dimitri Stoquart, President and founder of Stoquart SA, speaking of the company’s more than 30 full-time linguists. “Celencia is a perfect match for us, with its in-house translators and established quality procedures. Folding the Celencia professionals into the Stoquart team will mean shorter time-to-market and increased flexibility for our clients.”

Mr. Stoquart added that Celencia will extend Stoquart’s market reach and allow the company to reach French customers more easily. Stoquart also will be able to leverage its software infrastructure, project management, FTP and web servers more economically.

In addition to Celencia, which will be renamed Stoquart France SAS, the company also has a fully owned subsidiary in California, Textminded, that handles work for clients on the West Coast, USA.

Stoquart SA is also a founding member of the EEIG LETS Communicate consortium, which is made up of translation companies with offices in Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Argentina and Chile. The EEIG LETS Communicate network boasts approximately 500 partners who are required to meet the member companies’ strict quality requirements.
