Indicator of Support for President Obama’s National Export Initiative

Kallman Worldwide, Inc. is pleased to announce today that a record number of U.S. companies will be represented at Expomin 2010 in Santiago, Chile on April 12-16, 2010. With one hundred and fifty-eight (158) companies exhibiting in the U.S. International Pavilion and eighty-three (83) U.S. companies exhibiting outside of the U.S. Pavilion, the United States is the largest national contingent ever gathered at Expomin. Of particular significance to the U.S. International Pavilion is the fact that 37% of exhibiting companies are new and the size of the Pavilion has seen a 12% growth over Expomin 2008. The implication of this increase in both size and exhibitors is a considerable step towards America’s support of President Obama’s National Export Initiative. According to President Obama, “A critical component of stimulating economic growth in the United States is ensuring that U.S. businesses can actively participate in international markets by increasing their exports of goods, services, and agricultural products. Improved export performance will, in turn, create good high-paying jobs.”

According to Tom Kallman, CEO of Kallman Worldwide, “The strong turnout that U.S. exhibitors have shown in support of Expomin and Chile as a whole is clear evidence that American companies are one step closer to the President’s Initiative and are doing their best to overcome the hurdles to entering new export markets.” As further affirmation of support for Expomin 2010 and the U.S. International Pavilion itself, several VIP Officials and delegates are scheduled to attend the U.S. International Pavilion ribbon cutting ceremony on April 12, 2010. Among those planning to attend are Chile’s Minister of Mining, Mr. Laurence Golborne and the U.S. Embassy Deputy Chief of Mission, Ms. Carol Urban.

According to Kallman, “We have been inspired by our friends and colleagues in Chile and their return to normalcy in the wake of 27 February. We look forward to welcoming a large contingent of mining officials, V.I.Ps and delegates from the U.S., Chile and all of Latin America to the U.S. International Pavilion.”
