"We are thrilled to have achieved Green PlusTM certification and look forward to assisting other companies in becoming more sustainable"
Greensboro, NC (PRWEB) April 10, 2010
Environmental Solutions Group has been recognized for its dedication to triple bottom line sustainability in the Green PlusTM Certification program from the Institute for Sustainable Development.
"We chose to make achieving the Certification a priority," said Craig Whittaker, President of Environmental Solutions Group. "We hope to serve as an example to other small businesses that becoming Green PlusTM certified is a realistic and extremely worthwhile goal. The program forced us to stretch a little harder to make meaningful changes in how we operate – changes that we believe will help our community while inspiring other businesses."
The Green Plus TM program helps educate and certify small businesses and nonprofit organizations in the areas of triple bottom line sustainability (People, Planet, and Performance). A program of the Institute for Sustainable Development, Green PlusTM focuses on an organization’s policies and procedures and therefore applies to businesses across sectors and industries.
As many businesses are learning, true triple bottom line sustainability is not something that can be implemented within an organization in a few days, but for those businesses that have made the effort, sustainability is a powerful marketing and branding tool that can help differentiate an organization in a competitive marketplace.
"This was a five-month process for us, and we are thrilled to have achieved Green Plus TM certification and look forward to assisting other companies in becoming more sustainable," said Steve Armstrong, Manager at Environmental Solutions Group.
