Campus Green Sweeps Campuses Everywhere! i-Ecko presents Campus Green Contest

At i-Ecko they are truly committed to their Not Just A Brand... It’s a lifestyle mentality. i-Ecko products are ROHS approved. (No hazardous materials are contained in the production of any electronics) The packaging on all products is fully recyclable, and has been reduced in size from standard package procedures. i-Ecko’s contributions go beyond just the brand itself. A portion of the proceeds generated from i-Ecko products are donated to environmental charities and all company employees are required to participate in the inter-office Go Green Campaign.

Students across the nation are becoming more aware of their impact on the world around them. They are also taking a higher stand in protecting the environment and making more green decisions than ever before. To honour their efforts i-Ecko is proud to sponsor the Campus Green Video Essay Contest.

The contest is open to college students. Students are invited to submit their personal 3 minute (or less) video essay that will be available for public viewing and i-Ecko judging online. The video essay students are asked to create focuses on the theme - What Being Green Means to Me. The contest begins in April (Earth Month), and continues through May 28, 2010. A grand prize and second prize winner will be announced by the first week of June. On behalf of i-Ecko, the grand prize winner’s college will also receive a cash prize donation towards their schools green charity or initiative of choice.

i-Ecko grew from the vision of Amy Fishof, Executive Vice President of the New York based electronics distributor. As a leader in the industry for over 25 years, Fishof was a witness to electronic products that wasted energy, were low quality, and that contained hazardous materials. She decided to take a stand and formed i-Ecko, a company that is committed to the manufacturing of products that are high quality and environmentally friendly. Amy states, “i-Ecko is a company that has committed to its customers to produce the best quality and innovative green products without causing any harm to the environment. In addition, our business pledges to conserve natural resources and combat the environmental crisis we all face as a society.”
