SCANNX LLC, a company recently formed by top industry executives in the IT industry, announced the recent appointment of John Dexter as its executive vice president. SCANNX was formed to provide document imaging consulting services in the areas of strategic planning, competitive analysis, product development, channel development, strategic alliances, executive recruitment and vendor sourcing.
Recent developments in both the public and private sectors are contributing to the industry growth in document imaging. The government’s federally funded initiatives in reducing health care costs, making public records accessible to the general population and reducing administrative costs are all driving factors in records management. Furthermore, Microsoft’s planned release of SharePoint 2010 will further accelerate organizations to standardize on its document management platform. Finally, AIIM, the global enterprise content management community that provides education, research, and best practices to help organizations find, control, and optimize information, have surveyed corporations and found that increased productivity is the number one reason why companies implement document management solutions.
Mr. John Dexter will be responsible for advising companies in document imaging product strategies, strategic alliances and enterprise-wide implementation initiatives. Dexter was Vice President of Business Development for Visioneer, Inc., from 2007 through 2010 and was also responsible for consulting and implementing enterprise-wide solutions with major accounts, managing a team of field system engineers and expanding ISV relationships. More recently, he also provided the direction on future product development based on extensive time spent in the field with customers and vendors. Dexter holds numerous certifications including Microsoft MCP, CompTIA A+ and CDIA+, as well as Cisco CCNA. John was previously a sales engineer and network analyst at Fujitsu Computer Products of America.
Mr. Murray L. Dennis is Chairman of the Board of SCANNX. Dennis has a long and distinguished career in the computer industry. He joined Visioneer in 1996 as Vice President of Sales and was promoted to serve as president and CEO of Visioneer, Inc. from 1999-2008. Prior to joining Visioneer, he served as president and CEO of Socket Communications from 1994 to 1996, and took the company public in June 1995. Prior to Socket, Dennis held executive management positions in marketing, sales and strategic planning in several high technology companies.
Mr. Robert Danese is the President and CEO of SCANNX, and founder and President of the ICN Group. The ICN Group has been involved in all facets of the IT distribution and reseller channels. Danese became the Executive Director of NASBA – The Association of Channel Resellers, which he still heads today as part of his ICN group of companies. He was a founding partner in TAMCO; an event incubation and production company that was the creator of two prominent reseller and end user channel events, which were subsequently acquired by the Gartner Group. “Our team’s combined background and expertise in the IT industry and hands-on experience in launching several successful products make us uniquely qualified to assist companies in gaining market share in the fast growing document imaging market”, said Danese.
