Second City Communications, the marketing services division of the world-renowned improvisation theatre company, The Second City, brings its trademark humor — and expertise at engaging audiences — to the promotion of the 2010 Annual BMA Conference in Chicago.

Widely viewed as the premiere forum of B-to-B marketing professionals, the 2010 Annual Conference, Engage 2010, runs from June 2-4, 2010.

“We’re pleased to be part of BMA’s strategy for Engage 2010 and we have a strong history of working with B-to-B marketers to connect with customers in an engaging and high-energy way,” said Tom Yorton, CEO of Second City Communications. “B-to-B marketing succeeds when it’s relevant to people’s lives and connects authentically. That’s our stock in trade — nothing beats humor for cutting through clutter and getting to the truth that makes people sit up and listen,” added Yorton.

BMA’s Engage 2010 is expected to draw 600 B-to-B marketing professionals from the U.S. and around the world to learn how innovative companies are engaging employees, channel partners, customers, and other demand-drivers to drive sales, growth, and brand buzz.

“We’re excited to have Second City Communications as a thought partner in promoting Engage 2010,” said Gary Slack, Chairman of BMA. “Their ideas are incredible, like the engaging music video called Ain’t No Excuse that Second City Communications produced to promote the conference – now playing on BMA’s YouTube channel at: http://www.youtube.com/bmaengage," added Slack.

Second City Communications handles more than 400 Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 client engagements annually, including dozens of B-to-B assignments for a wide range of companies, including 3M, IBM, GE, Microsoft, Open Text, and Allscripts.
