Can Telematics selects Configure One as its strategic partner.

Configure One™ http://www.configureone.com, a leading provider of web-based product configurator and electronic catalog software, today announced that Can Telematics--a mobile resource management company--selected Configure One's Concept Enterprise Product Configurator® as an integral part of its business strategy.

Located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Can Telematics interfaces mobile communications, software applications, and global positioning integrated systems into a secure online system. The Trakopolis solution enables companies to efficiently manage their mobile work force and assets.

Can Telematics' go-to-market strategy is to partner with a global network of resellers. "Our solutions are very complicated, and there are a lot of different parameters that must be considered," said Brent Moore, CEO & president. "It's very difficult to train a global reseller network when things are constantly changing. We needed a way of capturing the knowledge required to automatically create an accurate quotation. To achieve that manually we'd have to employ an internal sales force, and that's not our business model. To expand globally we need to utilize technology, and keep our overhead low."

One of Can Telematics' requirements was that any configuration and quotation solution must be integrated with Salesforce.com. "We use Salesforce.com as our CRM system," said Moore. "We started our search by evaluating Salesforce.com application partners. One of the main reasons why we chose Configure One was compared to their competitors they were flexible, and willing to work with us as we grow our company."

According to Rod Heitrich, V.P. sales and marketing, other vendors felt that Can Telematics was too small for their solution. "Configure One took an interest in our company and answered all of our questions. They were very responsive to our needs. I really believe that Configure One is going to be a true partner, and support us as we grow our company."

Moore recognizes that Configure One is strategic to Can Telematics' business plan. "I realized that there was no other way to meet our business objective of rolling out our product worldwide while keeping our overhead low, without an automated product configurator and quotation system. In that respect Configure One is critical to our business."
