Zion, IL (PRWEB) April 15, 2010
On Wednesday, April 14th Adolph Kiefer and Associates, Inc. officially launched a new Weekly Swim Workout resource. Every Wednesday Kiefer posts a new swim workout that offers both a shorter and a longer version of the week’s swim workout. Both versions are available free of charge for pdf download. In addition, the site provides an archive of all the swim workouts that date back to January 2010, tips for reading the swim workouts, and a glossary of swimming terms. The Weekly Swim Workout resource is available at http://www.freeswimworkout.com or through Kiefer’s parent website at kiefer.com. Swimmers who wish to be notified via email when a new swim workout is posted are invited to sign up for Kiefer’s emailer at http://www.kiefer.com.
A Midwestern based swim equipment company that is known for supporting the sport of swimming through its participation in swimming events, sponsorships, and swim equipment donations, Kiefer is continuously looking for new ways to give back to the swim community. According to Vice President of Marketing Robin Kiefer, a swim workout resource was a natural fit for the company. “We have many experienced and highly knowledgeable swimmers on staff at Kiefer. Our webmaster and author of the Weekly Swim Workouts, Kelli Steenrod, is a Masters Swim Coach and lifetime competitive swimmer who volunteered to share her swim workouts with our customers.”
The trend to employ swimmers started with the company’s founder Adolph Kiefer, who won the Gold Medal for the backstroke in the 1936 Olympic Games. At 91-years-of age, Adolph Kiefer remains CEO of Adolph Kiefer and Associates, Inc. and continues to promote swimming by serving on various committees and speaking at select swimming events.
In January of 2010, Kiefer first introduced the Weekly Swim Workout to email subscribers. While the content was valuable, the look and feel of the tool was rather bland at that time. Before investing time in developing a more sophisticated interface, the company wanted to measure the customers’ response to the content. Steenrod, who has daily communication with Kiefer’s online customers, reports that the early feedback she received was overwhelmingly positive. “One week we were a little behind in notifying customers that a new workout was available. I had people emailing me. They wanted to know when I was going to post the new swim workout!” It wasn’t long before Kiefer started developing a new interface.
When asked about future plans for the Weekly Swim Workout tool, Robin Kiefer offers, “Longterm plans have not been made. But, with Kiefer’s internal resources and the opportunities that technology and social networking offer anything is possible.”
