Alexandria, VA (PRWEB) April 15, 2010
Promar International, a food and agribusiness consulting firm, this month added a new member to its executive team – Vice President André Williamson. Promar is proud to welcome back Mr. Williamson, who previously served at Promar as a Senior Consultant from 1995-2002, and as an Associate Consultant since.
"We are happy to have André back," said Nick Young, Promar's President. "He is a proven consultant, a dynamic leader, and he adds nicely to our executive team."
As Vice President at Promar, André – who speaks Portuguese and Spanish – will be responsible for projects in Latin America, in addition to the pursuit and leveraging of opportunities in topical areas where he has expertise. He brings more than a decade of experience in research and project management, with particular emphasis on branded foods, dairy products, food safety, strategic market entry and expansion, retail, foodservice, and food trade, among other areas.
Until recently, André served as an Associate Director at The Advisory Board Company, where his focus was business development. Prior to the Advisory Board, André led both for-profit and non-profit entrepreneurial ventures.
In addition to his role at Promar, André currently serves as an Executive Education Fellow at the University of Maryland, where he manages and facilitates simulations for executives.
André earned his MBA as a Dean’s Fellow at the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, as well as Masters degrees in both Economics and Foreign Service from Georgetown University, and a BA in Political Science from Princeton University.
