While people often take their right to be in the United States for granted, many Americans and American immigrants are unaware of their or their relatives’ rights under American immigration law. To address the growing need for guidance on how to avoid immigration fraud, Nikki Mehrpoo Jacobson, Attorney at Law and Chair of the Immigration Law Committee at the Beverly Hills Bar Association, is sponsoring a community outreach program on immigration and immigration fraud in the Greater Los Angeles Area.
The first discussion in the free legal series is “Do Not Be a Victim of Immigration Fraud.” In this seminar, Nikki Mehrpoo Jacobson, Esq. will discuss important topics such as how to avoid deportation, what the different forms of relief from deportation are (including Cancellation of Removal, Asylum, Adjustment of Status, and Criminal Waivers), how to win a case in immigration court, and how to find legal help when you need it.
Nikki Mehrpoo Jacobson, Attorney at Law, will be holding her free immigration seminars through Jacobson & Han LLP in both English & Spanish. The series, which also offers attendees free legal consultation opportunities, begins on April 21, 2010 at 7:00 pm at Tabernaculo Biblio on 8802 Van Nuys Blvd in Panorama City, California. Future community outreach seminars are also planned for June 23, 2010, August 25, 2010 and October 20, 2010.
