"It's no secret to anyone who has dined in these cities, but many people might be surprised that these are some of the best cities for food in America," says John Hood, Chief Livability Officer for Livability.com. "The closer you are to production, the fresher the food, and that makes all the difference in flavor and food quality. We found great purveyors of local foods in places like Logan, Utah, and Wichita, Kansas. In the hands of skilled chefs, some standard dishes are being remade and really sparkle. Asheville, North Carolina, is so food focused, locals refer to their hometown now as 'Foodtopia.'"
