New Record Label/Production Company Dynamo, "LMG", Gives More Established Firms A Run for Their Money, Completing Music Video Shoot in One Take

("LMG"; http://www.legendarymediagroup.com) has officially released the first video for their newly-signed talent, Los Angeles hip-hop artist, B-Shel (http://www.myspace.com/theartistbshel), and his new hit single, "Girl You Da Bomb". The video - which was completed in one take - can be viewed at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9gIkK8oGIk, and will eventually be airing on MTV. This video, shot by director Andrew Oh at the V Lounge nightclub in Santa Monica, CA, further demonstrates the recently launched, Los Angeles-based label's production capabilities. LMG is backed by Bungalo Records / Universal Music Group and Asian market distribution channels.

The LMG production team conceptualized a video for "Girl You Da Bomb" that was almost opposite of the typical look and feel of most hip-hop videos. They forwent fast cuts and quick pans, and instead opted to shoot the entire music video in one take, in order to produce one continuous and fluid shot. This effect makes the viewer feel almost as if they are B-Shel, himself, as he moves through the nightclub.

The energy of B-Shel's track, "Girl You Da Bomb", dictated that the video be shot at a nightclub, and with hundreds of extras. Not satisfied with simply finding the ideal venue, V Lounge, and the right cast, the LMG production team decided to take their shooting challenge one step further, by completing the entire music video shoot in the one take. Producing the ambitious shoot this way, meant that all of the movements of the camera, as well as those of the talent, had to be perfectly aligned.

The artist and star of the video, B-Shel, leveraged his many years of being in front of the camera as both a model - Ford-recognized - and an actor, to pull off his lead performance with efficiency and ease, allowing the group to focus on other production elements, in order to complete the shoot and all post-production work within 24 hours.

"It's really hard to believe that this was B-Shel's first music video shoot. Some people are just born to be in front of the camera. His talent made my job a whole lot easier, and allowed us to successfully pull off the challenging shoot," says director, Andrew Oh.

Mr. Oh adds, "Working with LMG was an amazing experience. They have so much passion for what they're doing, and it really shows in the productions they put together."

Although this was B-Shel's first music video experience, the LMG team wanted to ensure that the finished product would not feel simple and homemade, like most inaugural videos do. The team wanted a music video that had high replay value, from both aesthetic and technical standpoints.

"We understand the importance of music videos in today's music market - especially with the emergence of YouTube - and we really wanted to make a statement that showcased our capabilities as a production company, and not just as a record label," says Shane Yoon, LMG's vice president of productions.

Mr. Yoon continues, "We were extremely blessed to have such a great cast - dealing with hundreds of extras in a one-take shot is no easy task. We also had a great director in Andrew Oh, an amazing production team, an awesome venue in V Lounge, a wardrobe sponsor from 'above the cLouds' clothing, and an energy drink sponsor in Verve. Without all of these people and entities involved, this video would not exist."

LMG signed B-Shel in February 2010. Hailing from West Covina, CA, B-Shel's stellar entertainment industry career started at the age of seven, when he first began to model, and then act. As his career and focus shifted to the music industry, B-Shel decided to pursue his musical ambition in full. His love for hip-hop and R&B, landed him a job with High Desert Broadcasting, where he was a DJ for two FM stations, KMIX 106.3 and News Talk 1440.

As a hip-hop and R&B artist, word about B-Shel has quickly spread through the music industry. He has secured opening gigs for such names as Ashanti, Destiny's Child, Jon B., and Jaheim, to name just a few. B-Shel's artistry in his genre has also been recognized by rap industry veteran, Wendy Day. B-Shel has won over fans and experienced industry insiders with his polish and professionalism, which has opened up opportunities for him to perform at gospel events with artists such as Tonex, Zie'l, Angie Stone, 2Face, Nick Cannon and Marvin Sapp.
