Why the Robin’s Breast Is Red is the story about a family living in the farmland of America—a farmer, homemaker, and their children desiring a better life. The French family lives contented and happy on the deep woods of Texas. On a late bitter-cold winter day, their two daughters went into the woods where their father cuts and saws timber, but only to find out they are lost. It’s getting colder and the snow begins to fall. They are scared, cold, hungry and tired. Meanwhile, Mr. French asked their neighbors to help him find his daughters. They prayed to the Lord for the children to be safe and to survive the night. Will the Lord hear their prayers and send help to save the girls from the cold winter night? Readers will be absorbed by story until the surprising end unfolds.
