Al Hilal’s Yasser Al Qahtani's spectacular goal on 24 February 2010 won QuestNet's first 'Goal of the Month' contest, edging out other fantastic goals from Rivaldo, Koji Nakata, Alejandro Molina and Artur Gevorkyan.

The popular contest allows ACL fans an opportunity to cheer more than their team’s victory; it enables them to be champions too.

Another elite football showcase took place yesterday when Al Hilal hosted Al Sadd from Qatar during a competitive Match Day 5 of the AFC Champions League (ACL) at King Fahd International Stadium. Al Hilal held the visitors to a goalless draw, ensuring and retaining their position as leaders in Group D, as they moved on to the Group of 16 stage in the tournament.

For the Al Hilal fans, there was another reason to celebrate. In an earlier game in Match Day 1, on 24 February 2010, Al Hilal’s dashing striker, Yasser Al Qahtani had enthralled more than 11,100 spectators with a spectacular goal in their convincing 3-0 win over the same opponents. Entered into QuestNet’s ‘Goal of the Month’ contest, the goal proved to be a winner, edging out other fantastic goals from Rivaldo, Koji Nakata, Alejandro Molina and Artur Gevorkyan in the prestigious contest.

Following the final whistle, QuestNet - the Official Direct Selling Supporter of the AFC Champions League – and the AFC jointly organised a ceremony to award the elated “Goal of the Month” scorer. Prince Turkey bin Fahad bin Mohammed Al Saud’s representative, Mr Ghalib Ibrahim Aldosari, presented the extremely talented Yasser Al Qahtani with the QuestNet ACL Goal of the Month (February) trophy, while QuestNet Senior Sponsorship Manager, Mr Venu Johl, presented him with a Himalayan Crystal Collections™ Tri Angle Pendant, an energy-enhancing, beautiful piece of jewellery from QuestNet’s ‘Energy’ product line.

The ‘QuestNet ACL Goal of the Month’ contest was launched on 03 March 2010, and will be running right until the end of the 2010 season. The popular contest allows ACL fans an opportunity to cheer more than their team’s victory; it enables them to be champions too. Participants vote for what they believe is the best goal, out of a selection of five goals scored in the tournament in that month, and stand to win fantastic prizes. The ‘Goal of the Month’ contest (seven in all, from March to November 2010, ACL summer break apart) culminates in a grand finale, the ‘Goal of the Season’ at the ACL Finals in November. The lucky winner of the ‘Goal of the Season’ contest will win a 5-day, 4-night stay at the Prana Resorts & Spa in Koh Samui, Thailand.

This appealing contest is just one among many developed by QuestNet to further increase the tournament’s popularity and give ACL’s growing fan base a greater involvement with the game -- and hopefully, an opportunity to celebrate the tournament for more reasons than one.
