Attorneys from the law firm of Cellino & Barnes recently prevailed in the mediation of a personal injury lawsuit, which resulted in a $1.175 million award to their client who suffered serious injuries in a 2007 motorcycle accident.

In the case, Raymond L. Maple v. Canisius College Public Safety Department and Kimberly Lavigne (Index No. 2007-11115), the plaintiff was a New York man who was riding his motorcycle in 2007 when the defendant pulled out from the curb to make a u-turn. The defendant's vehicle struck Mr. Maple, resulting in multiple fractured ribs, a fractured collar bone and two fractured wrists that required surgery.

Mr. Maple was represented in the lawsuit by Denis Bastible, an experienced trial attorney at the New York Law firm of Cellino & Barnes, one of the nation's largest personal injury law firms.

"Our firm worked aggressively and we're pleased with the outcome of this case. The award will provide our client with the compensation he deserves for the medical bills he will face and the rehabilitation time he required to recover from the serious injuries he suffered as a result of the defendant's negligence," said Mr. Bastible. Cellino & Barnes has successfully represented many motorcycle accident victims.
