A new business offering gluten free pizza and gluten free bakery items – The Blue Ribbon Bakery – is providing service in Marlborough, MA, 01752.
“The Blue Ribbon Bakery is a neighborhood home licensed bakery that caters to gluten and wheat intolerant customers, and our customers with Celiac and Crohn’s Disease. Great care goes into ensuring the bakery remains gluten free, but more importantly we strive to bring our customers great tasting foods!” said owner Nadine McNeil. The bakery sells only gluten free items such as its signature 12” pizza crust that tastes like traditional pizza crust, chocolate chip cookies, pancakes, waffles, strawberry topping and more.
According to McNeil, there are millions of people who are gluten intolerant and many more that haven’t been diagnosed. Approximately 1 in 100 has a gluten allergy which means they need to eliminate traditional white and wheat flour from their diet. That equates to foods such as breads, muffins, cookies, cereals, oatmeal, and everyone’s favorite - pizza, all made with regular flour.
The Blue Ribbon Bakery’s mission is to give back those wonderful foods that their customers had to give up after going gluten-free.
The Blue Ribbon Bakery has a full service website (http://theblueribbonbakery.com) for ordering gluten free items and is open for limited hours during the week for customer pick up. Shipping is available in the US on certain items.
Owner, Baker and Personal Chef Nadine McNeil has been baking for over 30 years. She is a member of the United States Personal Chef Association (USPCA), a graduate of the Culinary Business Academy, a Certified Nutritionist, and full time baker and is dedicated to excellence in the gluten free world of baking.
