Property Solutions Introduces SMS Marketing Options for Apartment Communities

Property Solutions today announced the addition of SMS Services to its comprehensive suite of communications and marketing tools for property management companies. These SMS Services will allow apartment hunters to request and receive community information by text message, as well as providing apartment managers with additional methods to communicate with residents.

Property Solutions lets each apartment community that subscribes to the service select a number of dedicated keywords that they can use in their signage and other marketing materials. Prospective residents can then request community information by texting the property’s keyword such as “13NORTH” to a dedicated short code like 513-78. Properties are able to create customized text responses that highlight key information and coordinate with the property’s marketing strategy. Management companies can decide on a property-by-property basis what information to include in responses, including property contact info, prices, links to a mobile-friendly property website, or current specials.

“Research indicates that over 50 percent of mobile users in the U.S. send and receive regular text messages. Additionally, 40 percent of Americans surveyed say they prefer text to radio or television ads,” said Ben Zimmer, President of Property Solutions. “We are interested in communications tools that streamline interactions between the resident and manager.
