Women Are Laughing Their Way To A Greater Understanding Of Their Situational Awareness Skills And Reality-Based Self-Defense Tactics

Keynote Speaker & Former Commando Terry Vaughan

My objective for these seminars is to educate and guide women into a greater understanding of their own mental and physical strengths.

Terry Vaughan, owner of High Intensity Teambuilding says, “Life comes at you fast, mate. I once tested the structural integrity of a cast iron lamp post with my face whilst running in central London – not paying attention to your surroundings can be painful. And in my case, the lamp post wasn’t targeting me as its next victim!”

Vaughan’s course illuminates strategies employed by potential attackers in the hopes that these women can avoid a violent encounter all together. In addition to developing heightened situational awareness skills, attendees will also learn dynamic self-defense tactics. Vaughan says, “We are the only species on the planet that constantly seeks to reinforce the propaganda that females are too weak to defend themselves. When a full grown male Brown bear takes off running to avoid a confrontation with a female and her cubs, there’s a good reason. Mamas can be pretty feisty when they choose to be. My objective for these seminars is to educate and guide women into a greater understanding of their own mental and physical strengths.”

After serving with the elite British Royal Marine Commandos, Vaughan turned his curiosity into a passion, seeking to better understand the psychological and physiological demands of confrontation on the human body. He has been teaching reality-based self-defense for more than 15 years and addressing corporate and private groups with humorous motivational speeches for the past three years. Vaughan’s company, High Intensity Teambuilding, has been featured on The Rachael Ray Show and various news media across the southeast.

The North Carolina launch of Vaughan’s Situational Awareness and Self-Defense Seminar will begin in the North Charlotte area on Thursday, April 22, 2010, at The Sandler Sales Institute in Cornelius, NC from 7-9pm. Introductory price for a limited time at $20 per person.
