Debate, Q&A with potential McCarthy challengers to be held April 27th in Lynbrook.

The Nassau County Campaign for Liberty is hosting a forum for several candidates hoping to challenge Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D) in New York’s Congressional District 4 this November.

The forum, which will include a debate followed by a question and answer session, will be held at the New York Elks Lodge #1 on Hempstead Avenue in Lynbrook on Tuesday, April 27th, from 7 to 10 PM. Voters from the 4th Congressional District are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to hear from candidates vying to run against the incumbent McCarthy.

Dan Maloney, Richard Petrone, Frank Scaturo and Peter Zinno, all Republicans who have announced their intention to run for Rep. McCarthy’s seat in the U.S. Congress, will be in attendance.

“Giving candidates a venue to address the community and state their position on the issues is critical to finding the fiscally responsible, liberty-loving candidates that will work to better the lives of Nassau County’s 1.3 million residents and ultimately change the direction of the country,” said Carl Bowen, Campaign for Liberty Nassau County Coordinator. “After all,” he continued, “the 2010 mid-term elections may be our last chance to pull our republic back from the brink of bankruptcy.”
