The previous industry standard was to simply have an online form to fill out, and then a customer service agent would return a client's call. Even today, free estimates, email forms to customer service reps or outsourced scheduling services are all you can really find.

U.S. Inspect today announced the unveiling of real-time online scheduling, now available at http://www.usinspect.com/schedule.

Although the company has been offering instant online estimates since 1998, this is the first time complete online ordering has been made available. It is a feature that is largely unavailable anywhere else in the industry.

"The previous industry standard was to simply have an online form to fill out, and then a customer service agent would return a client's call. Even today, free estimates, email forms to customer service reps or outsourced scheduling services are all you can really find." said Phil Halpin, U.S. Inspect's director of marketing. "But I'd like to think that U.S. Inspect is now changing the industry standard by being among the first, perhaps the very first, to offer seamless and complete real-time online scheduling, completely in-house.

Real-time scheduling allows customers to describe the general details of the home, pick services, and even request a specific inspector when choosing an inspection date and time. Online orders also include a section for customers to express their specific concerns, creating an even more customized experience on inspection day.

"This is a perfect example of what you can do when you have an employee-based company as opposed to a franchise company. We have complete control over our employees' schedules and therefore can create a front-end system that allows our clients to interact with our system and schedule inspections online from start to finish," said Halpin.

While U.S. Inspect is proud of its customer service division and telephone scheduling process, online ordering will add a new dimension to the company's customer service capabilities. It likely will be popular with Web-savvy consumers as well as busy home buyers and real estate professionals looking to take care of details quickly—especially during off-hours.
