Boots on the Roof has been selected by Solyndra to be their worldwide Authorized Training Provider. A select group of Boots on the Roof solar education professionals have worked for months with Solyndra designers, engineers and senior managers to deliver top-quality, Solyndra-specific technical education. Initially, the training program will be delivered at Boots on the Roof locations on both coasts of the United States, and in Munich, Germany.
The inaugural training event was delivered at Boots on the Roof headquarters in Fremont, California on March 23-25, 2010, and was well received by Solyndra employees and customers in attendance. One student said, "The course provided an excellent introduction to solar PV technology, along with progressive information in the application of Solyndra systems for our future clients. I can't wait to install my first array and system."
"We have seen that proper training leads to lower costs, faster system installations and the highest satisfaction levels for our end-customers," said Mike Romani, Solyndra's Senior Director Customer Support. "Working with a quality training provider like Boots on the Roof will enable us to deliver consistent high-quality training to customers around the world."
Chuck Rames, Director of Program Development for Boots on the Roof, said, "The unique advantages that Solyndra brings to the solar marketplace are a function of their innovative technologies, so we've crafted a new solar training course to give Solyndra's customers the working knowledge they need to design and implement these systems in the most effective manner."
Solyndra designs and manufactures PV systems, comprised of panels and mounts, for the commercial rooftop market.
