On Monday, April 12, eVisioner, Inc., opened their software-as-a-service (Saas) product MetaTeam® for free public use through http://evisioner.com. MetaTeam enters the market as a leader in collaborative team governance, a new category of project management software built around the relationships between teams, team members and their work.

MetaTeam effectively links the goals, roles and responsibilities directly to the work being done and lets teams track progress and alignment in real-time so they can deliver high performance.

MetaTeam organizes the goals, roles, responsibilities, project relationships and decision-makings steps that are the driving factors in project success. Teams using MetaTeam have stronger team commitment, a lower cost of coordination, faster and better decision-making, fewer errors and less conflict.

eVisioner founder David Kershaw said: "For a long time now, academics, consultants and standards have been pointing to good team governance as the key to project performance. We built MetaTeam in response to personal frustration over collaborative tools that raise individual productivity but do nothing to address project performance, and scheduling tools that fail to address the human factors in successful projects. Poor team performance costs businesses billions of dollars every year. MetaTeam effectively links the goals, roles and responsibilities directly to the work being done and lets teams track progress and alignment in real-time so they can deliver high performance."

This launch makes MetaTeam available to companies beyond the early-adopters, such as ArgentTech (http://argentechsolutions.com) and LeveragePoint (http://leveragepoint.com) who have been piloting MetaTeam on an enterprise level. Hundreds of new workspaces and user accounts have been created since MetaTeam was quietly launched last week.

A free basic MetaTeam account is available to anybody. Premium accounts offering more teams, more projects and more document storage space are available for a special launch price of $5/month per seat.
