Company to Provide Text Message Communications for Mobile University in Chicago

Attendees of Mobile University, a mobile marketing educational conference, will be able see a stream of comments sent from the mobile devices of other attendees, thanks to services provided by Interactive Mediums (http://www.interactivemediums.com), a company that develops and provides next-generation mobile marketing solutions.

The company will deploy a mobile-optimized Web page that will stream a conference Twitter feed and allow attendees to post messages. The “tweets” of participants will also be immediately visible on a large display screen at the conference.

Interactive Mediums is a sponsor of Mobile University (http://www.mobiu101.com), a one-day conference to be hosted by the Heartland Mobile Council (HMC) at the Spertus Institute in Chicago, April 28.

Jeff Judge, co-founder and CEO, Interactive Mediums, said, “We have developed new tweet aggregation software just for this purpose. And it’s so useful that we plan to incorporate it into our web-based mobile marketing platform so that all of our customers will have access to it.” Judge is also a director of HMC and will address attendees during Mobile University’s Welcome Session.

HMC also plans to use Interactive Medium’s services to execute a “text to win” SMS campaign during the conference. Attendees who answer questions by sending text messages to a displayed short code will be eligible to win prizes later during the day.

Interactive Mediums is also supporting post-conference text messages to attendees (with their permission) directing them to a conference summary Web site and a conference survey. Participants who complete the survey will receive a link to presentation materials from Mobile University.
