With international support No6 Nail Color now challenges Chanel. No6 is sold throughout the United States at Payless Shoe Stores and shall be expanding to 6000 locations with additional retail chains in Fall 2010.

“We now challenge Chanel. So, wherever and whenever Chanel chooses, we will be there.”

Chanel Inc., the international luxury goods purveyor, challenge to the No6 cosmetic trademark registration of Anise Cosmetics has been terminated. Anise Cosmetics is a highly respected supplier of nail lacquer and treatments throughout the United States, Canada and United Kingdom through numerous retail chains, including Walmart, DSW and Payless Shoes.

“For the past decade, as a private entrepreneur, with integrity and hard work we have built our business with multiple brands. Without any basis in law or fact Chanel challenged our No6 Nail Color trademark,” says Neal Wallach, Managing Director of Anise Cosmetics. “Most other companies would have been intimidated and acquiesced, but we did not and stood up to Chanel. The United States Patent and Trademark Office alerted us that Chanel’s objection was terminated. This is a lesson for all entrepreneurial companies to bear in mind.” (http://ttabvue.uspto.gov/ttabvue/v?pno=77684095&pty=EXT)

“As we have seen with Proctor & Gamble’s current comparative marketing campaigns for its Regenerist and Cover Girl brands, which boldly question the inflated prices of department store brands, we want to remove the illusory aura of these brands, starting with Chanel. We have much international support and now challenge Chanel. It’s just like 1976 in Paris, when small unknown Napa Valley wines won a blind wine tasting challenge against the best French wines, we know that our value priced No6 Nail Color is superior to Chanel’s $23 bottle of nail lacquer. So, wherever and whenever Chanel chooses, we will be there,” states Wallach. “However, we do admit,” muses Wallach, “At 10 times the retail price of No6 Nail Color the Chanel nail lacquer does include a little cardboard box.”

The No6 Nail Color product is a patented Made in USA formula, which is the highest quality available in the world and used by many expensive department store and professional brands. The founder of Anise Cosmetics, Tam Tran, customizes every seasonal color to insure that on-trend colors are always provided to customers. The only feature that sets No6 apart from high-priced international fashion brands is the aggressive value pricing that discount and mass retailers are able to offer their shoppers. Since August 2010, No6 Nail Color (http://www.No6Cosmetics.com) has been exclusively available at Payless Shoes, but will be expanding to approximately 6000 locations with additional retail chain stores in Fall 2010.
