Start-up Delivers Information Driven Solutions for the Real Time Web through its Patent-Pending P.A.L.® Technology Offering

Today, Norman Rice, a successful software executive and entrepreneur, announced the formation of OnPlane, Inc., a leading provider of information driven solutions for the Real-Time Web. OnPlane has assembled a team of business and technology veterans to deliver effective, value-based solutions for the fragmented, Real-Time Web.

“Organizations – consumer brands, retailers, media companies, publishers and many more – are actively seeking technology solutions that enable them to engage with online users in a meaningful way,” said Mr. Rice who is the founder and CEO of the company. “It is a challenge to make sense of the fragmented social and real-time web marketplace. We developed the P.A.L.® solution to empower organizations to engage with consumers at the right time, through the most effective medium. The result is increased conversions, transactions and enhanced brand loyalty.”

Mr. Rice’s background includes senior and executive management roles with CA, Inc (NASDAQ: CA), Aprisma Management Technologies, Houstonstreet Exchange and Microstrategy (NASDAQ: MSTR).

The P.A.L.® platform is built on patent pending technology for gathering, analyzing and engaging with consumers in the social web. P.A.L.® is a turn-key solution for organizations that is rapidly deployed, delivers intelligence and engages consumers immediately upon launch. “We leveraged our experiences in the enterprise software market and focused our development efforts on delivering a low touch, scalable and easily customizable solution to organizations seeking the benefit of real-time interaction with consumers – without the cost and headache of supporting partial offerings,” continued Mr. Rice, who applied his background in developing solutions in the business intelligence marketplace to design the P.A.L.® solution.

Joining Mr. Rice are Tim Hanson to lead Sales and Marketing and Jeffrey Seligman for Operations and Finance.

Mr. Hanson has over 25 years of experience in sales and delivery of technology solutions to organizations. He successfully grew his last company from $5M to $70M in annual sales in less than three years. In 2007, INC. 500 selected his company as the second fastest growing U.S. private company in their sector. Prior to that, Mr. Hanson was a senior executive in Accenture’s (NYSE: ACN) Communications Industry Group whose revenues grew from a few million to several billion during his tenure.

For more than 30 years, Mr. Seligman has served in management roles providing financial leadership to companies ranging from startups to corporate giants. With Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC), he provided finance and operations management leadership to a business group. Within this group, he contributed to financial growth from its inception to realizing more than a billion in annual revenues. At Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE: HP) he had financial responsibility for a multi-billion dollar division of the company.

“The addition of Tim and Jeff to the team is a validation that we have the right solution for the marketplace at the right time,” said Mr. Rice. “These two industry veterans bring depth and experience to a business that is poised for significant growth.”
