Free Family Fun for Four Days! Enjoy Scrap Exchange Free for kids of all ages! New Sculpture by creator of traffic barrel monster unveiled at 3 pm on Sat., April 24

Multiple activities over a four day celebration will mark Earth Day 2010 at Cameron Village Shopping Center, April 22-25, 2010.

The highlight of the mini-festival will be the construction of an on-site installation by the creator of the infamous Hillsborough Street Traffic Barrel Monster, Joe Carnevale. An NCSU senior and contemporary artist, Joe will construct a large scale installation on Saturday, April 24 from noon to six pm. Come join the thrill as his creation comes to full recognition as the afternoon progresses. Installation site is in front of Rite Aid at the corner of Cameron and Woodburn Streets.

The Great Green Giveaway offers shoppers a gift certificate with purchase, students will complete for cash prizes in a Scrap to Sculpture Contest, and everyone can enjoy the excitement of personal creativity with a Scrap Exchange on-site, hands-on experience.

Scrap Exchange offers kids of all ages hands on creativity on Sunday, April 25 from 1 to 5 pm. See the Village tents on Clark Avenue for hands on creativity. Free for all ages! Details at http://www.shopcameronvillage.com.
