"The integration of detailed street level mapping is a huge improvement for the display of precise geotag coordinates in our GeoFinder. And now we can also write precise geotags back into the photos, independent of Google Earth."
Wiesbaden, Germany (PRWEB) April 22, 2010
CDWinder, one of the leading media cataloging applications for the Windows platform, receives a further update today. CDWinder now has detailed and precise new maps all the way down to street level, thanks to the integration of OpenStreetMaps. CDWinder also has a new function to export and convert photos, and contains numerous improvements for stability and performance in cataloging, find and import functions. And there are a lot more features and enhancements.
"The integration of detailed street level mapping is a huge improvement for the display of precise geotag coordinates in our GeoFinder. And now we can also write precise geotags back into the photos, independent of Google Earth." said Andreas Becherer, chief developer of the CDWinder team. But the new release includes even more features and enhancements, such as the Photo Export feature, a new import format and increased cataloging performance.
CDWinder for Windows works on Windows 2000 or higher and is tested on Vista. There is also a version for Macintosh called CDFinder, available as Universal Binary for Power PC and Intel-Macs. The demo version of CDWinder is unlimited in time, but restricted to 25 catalogs. A single user license is 29 Euro / 39 USD. Multiple licenses for business or network use are available, and priced depending on the number of clients and features required.

CDWinder is very easy to use. Useful features like auto cataloging and a powerful and fast search engine make it a powerful part of any work flow. CDWinder records more than just standard data: It reads meta data of various picture and video file formats, as well as meta data of MP3, FLAC and AAC audio files, and adds title, year, and genre to audio CDs. Even the content of zip and other archive types are added to the catalog. CDWinder even checks data integrity with integrated FileCheck algorithms. Customers are especially thrilled by the thumbnails created and stored for all their pictures and videos, giving them a quick and comprehensive overview over their complete collection.
CDWinder is the Windows counterpart of CDFinder, the leading disc cataloging application for the Apple Macintosh. Together, both programs form a cross-platform media management solution, and are being used by more than 47.000 users in 83 countries, from Single-User up to Site licenses. The list of CDWinder pro users also includes NASA, The New York Times, Volkswagen, BMW, Philips, the Heidelberger Druckmaschinen, Rand McNally and IKEA.
