Roizen shared, contrary to the belief that genes control a person’s disposition for aging and health issues, people can actually take control of their own genetic destiny.

Dr. Roizen named four major “agers”: poor food choices, lack of physical activity, stress, and gum disease. Simply making better food choices, exercising, meditating, and flossing can modify a person’s biological age. When a person’s biological age is less than his/her calendar age, not only is the risk of dying lessened, but also the risk of disability and illness. He shares how to combat the number one ager, STRESS! This has been linked to many diseases including heart disease, cancer and even obesity.
