Tina Baker, CEO of Cadence Group, will present a session on “Developing an International Records Retention Policy and Schedule”

Cadence Group®, an information and records management firm based in Atlanta, Georgia, is pleased to announce that CEO Tina Baker has been selected by ARMA International, the Association for Information Management Professionals, to speak at the 2010 ARMA Southeast Region Educational Conference to be held April 21-23, 2010 at the Safety Harbor Resort & Spa in Safety Harbor, Florida.

Ms. Baker’s topic is "Developing an International Records Retention Policy and Schedule" where she will address the global business environment and records management pressures facing companies that have an international reach. Discussion issues include balancing risk and cost in developing such a policy and schedule, strategic decisions you need to make when planning your project, and ways to most effectively manage the variations in legal requirements for different countries.

“I am excited to be speaking on this strategic topic,” stated Ms. Baker. “Cadence Group has developed what we think is a unique approach to developing an international records retention policy and schedule. We use our methodology to develop a customized schedule without starting a lengthy records inventory. As inventory information is gathered, it can be used to adjust the schedule per policy.”

This educational conference is for records managers and anyone wanting to learn how quality records management programs can be established and successfully maintained.
