Austin, Texas (PRWEB) April 26, 2010
The Austin Technology Incubator, a not for profit arm of the University of Texas at Austin announced today that one of its member companies, Notice Technologies, will graduate from the incubator this month.
Notice Technologies became a member company of ATI in May 2009. The founders, Chris Treadaway and Robert Starek wanted to build a solution to take advantage of the growing demand for local digital advertising. What they developed was Lasso ™, a proximity marketing platform that is white-labeled and offered to local businesses through newspaper, local media, and technology partners and location-based services. Lasso™ takes the complexity out of online and social network advertising by enabling local businesses to easily enter deals, discounts, and other notable events in a streamlined web interface designed to take 90 seconds or less to complete. These deals are then published to Notice Technologies’ consumer deals portal, Youpons.net, the advertising company’s website, e-mail lists, portals, social media tools such as Twitter and Facebook, and mobile devices.
During their tenure at the Austin Technology Incubator, Notice Technologies signed its first major media partner, filled out its customer pipeline, closed its first round of funding with private investors and rebuilt the Lasso ™ product to scale. “Our understanding of this product is much more holistic now. We now have a complete solution that solves the problem for local advertisers and integrates with our partners’ business operations,” said Chris Treadaway, CEO of Notice Technologies. “The professional staff at ATI provided rigorous discipline to help us make real progress with our channel enablement.”
The newly funded Notice Technologies, will launch with several new major media partners in coming months to reach consumers and local businesses across the United States. “Notice Technologies is extraordinarily well positioned to scale quickly in the rapidly growing local advertising market – a space many consider the “holy grail” of advertising. The technology, partnerships and business model will enable them to help drive the sector’s explosive growth” said Bart Bohn, Director of ATI’s Wireless and Information Technology Incubators.
