Webinar on Automation of Confirmations for OTC Derivatives

Share Article

Although the volume of OTC derivatives traded has increased exponentially over the last few years, the industry is yet to witness a similar growth in their confirmations. The current methods for the same remain manual ones, which are error-prone and time consuming. Headstrong’s senior consultants, Vinod Jain and Tadatmya Vaishnav, bring in their expertise to discuss the challenges in automating the confirmation process and the best practices around the same.

Global leader in financial IT services, Headstrong will be hosting a webinar, Automation of confirmations for OTC Derivatives, on Wednesday, 28th April 2010.

Over the last decade, the firms operations have failed to keep pace with the significant growth of OTC derivatives. One big void in the picture is the confirmations of trades. This poses a great challenge as manual confirmations are fraught with error, are time consuming and cumbersome in the larger scheme of things. Further, manual processing is unable to sustain the high volume of trades, as witnessed by the industry in last 10 years. The industry has been slow in adopting automation as is evident from the study done by ISDA in 2009, which highlights the fact that although the industry has made significant progress in improving the percentage of trades which are electronically confirmed, it is still less than 50% for all trades other than credit derivatives.

Join Headstrong in this webinar as our experts discuss the challenges faced in automating the confirmations process and the best practices around it. The webinar will discuss –
