We have been seeing heightened buyer activity again in San Luis Obispo and while I wouldn’t call it a recovery as such, it does show that buyers are realizing that there are many good deals out there right now.

Leading Paso Robles, CA real estate specialist Gary Boatman reports that home sales are picking up somewhat in Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo County as a whole, indicating that the market could be taking its first steps towards recovery. The drop in home prices, as well as the currently still-low interest rates, has been enticing bargain hunters to invest in Templeton, CA homes for sale and Atascadero, CA homes for sale.
“We have been seeing heightened buyer activity again in San Luis Obispo,” says Boatman, “and while I wouldn’t call it a recovery as such, it does show that buyers are realizing that there are many good deals out there right now.” A Paso Robles native, Boatman has been representing home buyers and sellers in the region for more than 20 years, specializing in single-family homes, luxury estates, and ranch properties.
With inventory high and prices and mortgage interest rates low, the market is ideal for buyers looking to stretch their dollar further. According to data from Trulia, the number of home sales in Paso Robles has been on an upward trend since January of 2008. The median sales price from January to March 2010, meanwhile, declined by 1.7 percent as compared to that of the last quarter.
“Real estate market trends are difficult to predict given that they are affected by so many factors,” says Boatman, “but the one thing you can be sure of is that the value of real estate here in Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo County is sure to rise in the years to come. The quality of life here is exceptional, plus this is becoming one of the country’s – and the world’s – premier wine regions.”
