Simplifying the government’s tools and making government information more accessible to taxpayers, as with this portal, is a key part of Catapult’s mission.
Bethesda, Md. (Vocus) April 29, 2010
Catapult Technology, Ltd. (Catapult), a leading Information Technology (IT) contractor to the federal government, announces its selection by the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Financial Education’s (OFE) to redesign OFE’s web site at http://www.MyMoney.gov. The project is the result of a six-month contract valued at $200,000. The web site was unveiled today.
As an online resource center, http://www.MyMoney.gov is now more searchable and downloadable than its previous incarnation. The redesign improved the look, feel, and utility of the site, which includes such resources as financial calculators; and provides information on budgeting and taxes, financial planning, home ownership, paying for education, retirement planning, and other important financial topics.
During the redesign process, Catapult worked with key stakeholders and members of the U.S. Financial Literacy and Education Commission (FLEC) to identify goals and intended uses for the new web site; implemented meta tags to ensure maximum dissemination of information from the website; and ensured compliance with federal regulations.
The redesign of http://www.MyMoney.gov was a project of the FLEC, which is the federal government’s web site dedicated to teaching American citizens the basics about financial education.
The site went live in conjunction with April’s Financial Literacy Month, underscoring the federal government’s commitment to financial education.
“OFE’s new web site, http://www.MyMoney.gov, is a one-stop shop for financial education resources for the public,” said Randy J. Slager, CEO, Chairman, and founder of Catapult. “Simplifying the government’s tools and making government information more accessible to taxpayers, as with this portal, is a key part of Catapult’s mission.”
