InfoLogic, Inc. and Enventra, Inc. today announced the addition of MoboMath(tm) equation handwriting support to the MathMagic(tm) for Windows equation editor. A special MoboMath for MathMagic version will now be bundled with most new copies and upgrades of MathMagic for Windows, beginning with the newly-released version 4.92.

MoboMath for MathMagic enables MathMagic users to build and edit math expressions using handwritten input. Handwritten equations are created on either a tablet PC or external tablet, converted to a formatted math layout by MoboMath, and then transferred to MathMagic for direct use in publishing applications or for further editing.

Additionally, MathMagic is now supported in the standard version of MoboMath, the popular handwritten equation editor for calculations and technical documents. All licensed MoboMath users are eligible for a free upgrade to the latest release of MoboMath, which includes MathMagic support.

"MoboMath for MathMagic will provide our users a convenient new input method for a wide range of expressions," said Charles Lee, CTO of InfoLogic. "It will extend MathMagic equation editing to tablet users and to environments where keyboard use may be inconvenient, less efficient, or unavailable."

"We are pleased to introduce our math handwriting recognition support to the MathMagic user community," said Terry Rochford, President of Enventra. "Both MoboMath and the special MoboMath for MathMagic version offer users a unique way to create MathMagic equations using natural handwritten input. Once a math expression is created using MoboMath, all of MathMagic’s native editing capabilities can be used to refine it for publication."

MathMagic has been selected by large publishers and university presses around the world. Professors, students, scientists, engineers, and school districts rely on MathMagic products for their math communication and technical writing.
