Mark Jenney, an active philanthropist and entrepreneur, made contributions to 11 different charity foundations last week. These charities include:
“I’ve made it my mission to donate to one charity every day,” said Jenney. “It’s all part of trying to spread philanthropy to others.”
Among the charities Jenney donated to are several organizations serving the Akron, OH area—Jenney’s hometown. These include the Barberton Area Community Ministries, the Humane Society of Greater Akron, the Interfaith Hospitality Network of Summit County, and Haven of Rest Ministries.
The list also includes many national and international organizations, such as the International Rescue Committee, Doctors Without Borders, Oxfam America, Heifer International, Operation Helmet, Care, and Tiger Haven.
“I like to contribute to both local and national charities,” said Jenney. “Of course I want to give back to my own community, but there are also countless worthy causes that affect the world as a whole. My goal is to try to address both local and global problems.”
