Hobart, Australia (PRWEB) May 3, 2010
Two great Australian imports have teamed up in America. NASCAR driver Marcos Ambrose, one of American motorsport’s rising stars, and Blundstone have signed a marketing and promotion agreement for the balance of the NASCAR Sprint Cup 2010 season.
Ambrose stated, “I’m proud to be in business with such a revered company from my homeland. To me, Blundstone represents strength, quality and staying power as witnessed by the company celebrating its 140th anniversary this year. Not many companies in the world can say they have achieved that.”
“As part of the agreement, I will feature Blundstone logo branding on my helmet and the Blundstone Steel-Toed Safety Boots are now the official boot of our team, JTG Daugherty Racing.”
Ambrose, who drives the No. 47 Toyota is the first Australian to complete a full top tier NASCAR championship season. He is also one of two non-US citizens to win a NASCAR race, sharing that honor with former Formula One driver, Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya.
“As a kid, Blundstone boots were almost part of the uniform for any outdoor activities, and I remember there was always a pair at the back door for me,” Marcos recalled. “I know from the Blundstone Safety boots I’ve been wearing around the NASCAR garages that they’re going to get lots of interest in all workplaces around America. They’re obviously super comfortable, but I doubt there is a safer boot made anywhere in the world.”
If anyone should know about the supreme importance of safety at work; it’s a guy racing round the track at 200 miles per hour every weekend. To follow Ambrose’s racing success go to http://marcosambrose.com.
