The law office of Garcia & Karam has settled a lawsuit against industrial uniform giant Cintas Corporation in the death of laundry worker, Eleazar Torres-Gomez, who fell into an industrial dryer
Garcia-Karam negotiated a settlement of the case on behalf of their client, Amalia Diaz- Torres, on April 15, for an undisclosed sum, said attorney Rick Garcia.
Mrs. Torres’ other attorneys are Lino Ochoa, of the Garcia & Karam Law Firm, McAllen, Texas, and Frank Frasier, of Frasier, Frasier and Hickman law firm, of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Mr. Torres, the father of four sons, was killed while working at the Tulsa Cintas plant. He fell into a 300-degree industrial dryer while trying to clear a jam of wet laundry off a moving conveyor belt. Some 20 minutes later a co-worker discovered Mr. Torres.
