A new range of snap together interlocking sandstone tiles from HandyDeck Systems makes it easier to create a timeless Tuscan look for exterior living areas with a minimum of fuss, effort and time.
These 12” x 12” modular tiles are simply laid right over existing concrete patios, rooftops of balconies. What sets them apart from conventional stone tiles is that no adhesive or grout is required. Inbuilt connecting tabs on all four sides makes installation virtually foolproof, even if you’re not the do-it yourself type, ensuring each tile is accurately aligned and locked securely in place with a minimum of effort. The gaps between the tiles are not filled with grout so any surface water runs off the tiles, draining away freely via the integral plastic mesh base on the underside of the tiles.
To add strength and reduce the tile weight, the top layer of natural sandstone is bonded to a ceramic base, which in turn is bonded to the open mesh base.
A typical 10’ x 12’ area can normally be covered and ready to use in less than an hour. Just add a few large clay pots or planters, fill with Mediterranean plantings and add some rustic furniture for an instant Tuscan inspired atmosphere.
These sandstone tiles are part of the EzyTile range of deck tiles from HandyDeck which includes slate, granite and porcelain tiles. HandyDeck also supplies traditional hardwood tiles and composite wood deck tiles.
Apart from ground level patios and porches, interlocking deck tiles are ideal for rooftops or balconies where permanent surfacing materials may not be permitted and lugging dusty and heavy building materials up stairs or elevators may not be encouraged.
HandyDeck tiles are shipped throughout North America direct from warehouses in California and Maryland.
