Catherine Wingate, Senior Vice President of Global Services at WorkforceLogic, will be a presenter at the Staffing Industry Analysts Contingent Workforce Risk Forum on Tuesday, May 11. “Minimizing Independent Contractor Misclassification Risk: What You Need to Know” explores the strategies and practices employers can put into place to avoid legal issues and lawsuits. Featured on the panel is Duff Hall, U.S. Talent Source Program Manager for Microsoft, a WorkforceLogic client.

WorkforceLogic is a major sponsor of the Risk Forum, a key conference for buyers and suppliers of contingent labor. The Forum takes place May 11 and 12 in Washington, DC, and focuses on best practices for managing contingent workforce related risks.

Wingate will also speak on “Building an internationally compliant program, what's working”, the topic of one of several moderated discussions. These discussions allow attendees to easily interact with both experts and peers.

The use of contingent labor is on the rise, and this trend is likely to increase exponentially as the economy recovers. With contingent workers becoming strategic and vital to companies’ overall workforce plans, the Risk Forum’s agenda of roundtable discussions and issue-specific sessions is particularly valuable.

“SIA’s Risk Forum is one of the best opportunities organizations have to make sure they’re on top of the latest developments in contingent workforce trends and management,” says Wingate. “With the contingent workforce growing at such an astounding rate, both domestically and globally, I’m delighted to be participating. Everyone who attends will walk away better equipped to handle all of their contingent workforce-related responsibilities.”

Wingate has over 35 years of Client Services and Operations Management experience. In her role as SVP of WorkforceLogic Global, she is responsible for the international development of WorkforceLogic’s Managed Services Programs, Vendor Management System implementations and ongoing Program Management. Key clients include Microsoft, Adobe, Brocade, Google, Clorox, Cox Communications, Sony Computer Entertainment America, Yahoo! and BNP Paribas.
