IndiePub Games, an online community for video game developers and players, will be featuring Fractal, the new game by the Philadelphia-based game development studio, Cipher Prime.

IndiePub Games is thrilled to host the first playable demo of Fractal, the new game by the independent powerhouse, Cipher Prime. Gamers who visit will be able to play a “freestyle” version of the brand new game starting May 1st. The IndiePub website will feature Fractal as a part of their new site launch, as well as introduce their 3rd Independent Game Development Competition. Cipher Prime was the winner of the first competition with their hit game, Auditorium, now slated for console release early this fall.

With a passion for development and creativity, Dain Saint and William Stallwood formed Cipher Prime two short years ago in South Philadelphia. Today, best known for their addicting music-based puzzle game, Auditorium, the name Cipher Prime is on the tip of every indie gamer’s tongue. The development twosome continues to increase in popularity as they prepare to unleash a new puzzle game that will be unlike any other.

In the new game, players manipulate hexagons through a mix of color and shape matching to create “fractals” as the game board and audio comes to life. The fractals interact with each other causing chain reactions in a game that evolves as the play progresses. With Fractal, Cipher Prime introduces their Musicbox Audio Engine which creates custom music based on individual game play. The music will increase in complexity in relation to the player’s performance. Proclaimed an “ambient puzzler experience”, Fractal proves that by using compelling visuals mixed with interactive audio, players can become submerged in a truly engaging experience.

In addition to the first look at Fractal, IndiePub Games will also be hosting exclusive Cipher Prime editorial content, including game reviews and a series of video interviews. “We are very happy to showcase Fractal as a part of the IndiePub website release,” said Mark Seremet, CEO of Zoo Publishing Inc., IndiePub Games’ sponsor. “Cipher Prime is a great example of independent developers doing what they love and succeeding. Everyone at IndiePub is excited about the success of Auditorium, and has high hopes for Fractal online and on game consoles.”

The Fractal freestyle demo will be available from May 1st through June 14th exclusively on Information on purchasing the full version of the game will also be on the IndiePub site along with links and updates on the game’s official release date.
