Maximum PC, the reputed technology review magazine recently declared Mvix Solido 802.11n WiFi adapter as an outstanding performer for long range wireless connectivity. Their stringent “Maximum PC Lab North’s media room” test shows that Mvix Solido outperforms its nearest competitor Netgear WNDA3100 wireless adapter in most of the criteria.

Maximum PC commented in its review – “The Solido proved its mettle once we moved the client outside the home. With the client on the enclosed outdoor patio, the adapter delivered TCP throughput of 55.3Mb/s, compared to the Netgear’s 46.9Mb/s. But when we put the client completely outside the home—85 feet from the router—the Solido absolutely crushed the Netgear adapter, delivering TCP throughput of 23.7Mb/s compared to just 2.71Mb/s.” It declares for Solido, “Fantastic performance at long-range; detachable antenna for travel.” Maximum PC scores Solido 8 out of 10 on overall performance.

Sharing this exciting news with the media, Mike Mallon, the VP of business development at Mvix commented “This is a rare recognition for our product as Maximum PC’s lab test is recognized as one of the toughest in the industry. We’re elated by this recognition and happy to know that our technology could outperform reputed brands”

Mvix released the Solido 802.11n adapter in February this year and priced it at $35 as an accessory to the famous Mvix Ultio Pro Media Center and PVR. (Netgear’s Dual Band Wireless-N Adapter WNDA3100 is sold for about $60 in the market).

Mvix Solido Wireless-N Adapter uses the latest wireless networking technology, By superimposing multiple transmission signals, Wireless-N's MIMO technology provides a significantly high data throughput (upto 300Mbps). Unlike traditional wireless networking technologies that can suffer interference, MIMO increases the range and reduces "dead spots" in the wireless coverage area. The robust "N" signal travels farther, maintaining wireless connections up to 4 times farther than the traditional adapters.
