“iMindsPR is here to support innovative groups and businesses that are making a difference in our community or are bringing life to creative ideas.”
Pasadena, Calif. (PRWEB) May 3, 2010
Giving local organizations a boost during tough economic times, Pasadena-based public relations agency iMinds PR (http://www.imindspr.com) today unveiled a “PR Starter Pack” – a way to offer tools and training to local startups, small businesses, non-profits and even individual artists who otherwise wouldn’t have access to professional communications expertise and resources.
iMinds PR will provide each organization with an assessment of communications needs and opportunities, a strategic plan and an initial set of tools – the handful of pieces that are at the heart of every successful PR program: a fact sheet, a bio and a plan for increasing visibility in traditional and social media targeting desired audiences.
But beyond that, iMinds PR veterans will train someone within the organization to manage the communications on an ongoing basis – how to communicate with reporters, how to write a press release, what to do with it once it’s written, how to find creative story angles and more. The iMinds team will remain available on an ongoing, contract basis for consultation and mentoring depending on budget, and will pinch-hit when needed – to do the high-level outreach to top-tier media.
“Many organizations know they need public relations but can’t afford the monthly retainers – this program is for them,” said Carla Sameth, founder and principal of iMinds PR. “A good PR strategy can help organizations reach the next phase of their growth – whether they’re looking for funding, new clients, business partners or personal visibility. We equip organizations to conceive and execute a PR strategy that will help them achieve their goals.”
One of the first projects to benefit from this streamlined approach to communications is The Pasadena Writing Project, a non-profit organization that guides writers of all ages and experience levels through the process of telling their stories. Local published author and USC professor Jervey Tervalon and iMinds PR founder Carla Sameth are launching The Pasadena Writing Project with a series of memoir writing workshops, while at the same time building support for an all-city literary festival they plan to hold in the spring of 2011.
“iMinds PR is here to support innovative groups and businesses that are making a difference in our community or are bringing life to creative ideas,” said Sameth. “We’ve taken the expertise we’ve been offering to companies for two decades now, and packaged it in a way that makes it possible for smaller organizations to get access to high-level expertise.”
iMinds PR consists of a team of experts in public relations, consumer marketing, media outreach and event promotion. Every member of the team has multiple years of experience helping organizations – ranging from the arts to high-tech, from consumer products to professional services – reach the next stage of growth. Everyone on the team can be characterized as an engaging professional who loves to tell a good story and approaches life with a natural curiosity.
Communications veteran Carla Sameth previously founded and directed Inspiring Minds Communications, a results-oriented, top-performing boutique agency that successfully used strategic public relations to gain visibility, funding, alliances and customers for emerging and established enterprises.
With iMinds PR, Sameth continues the collaborative approach that she has honed throughout her career, bringing various people and resources together to optimize creativity, and engage the intellect. The goal, as always, is to help organizations of all kinds and sizes discover and tell their stories in a way that stirs people to action.
