This release extends the eOriginal commitment to provide customers with the industry's most configurable electronic signature solution. With over 85 new features and enhancements, eOriginal has taken its industry leading solution beyond simple electronic signature capture.

Transitioning document-centric business processes from paper to fully electronic transactions is ever more complex as customers deal with frequently changing requirements, increased legal scrutiny, and ever evolving regulatory requirements and government oversight. "In order to address these and other challenges shared by our user community, we chose to focus on giving our customers more configuration options, more flexibility in how to capture and apply eSignatures, including more customization of the signing experience," said Bryan Caporlette, Chief Technology Officer.

Just some of the highlights of this release include:

New Signature Collection Options - Senders may now choose how signers interact with documents to apply their signature. Interactive-collection mode ensures signers acknowledge each signature area by requiring the signer to click on each signature location to apply their signature. Form-collection mode provides the ability to "fast track" the signature capture process for repeat or internal users.

Support for Wet-ink Signed Documents - Senders can identify documents in a transaction which must be printed and signed with a pen. This capability is required when documents must be completed and signed by unidentified third parties or when individual documents must be provided to third parties/agencies which do not yet accept electronic signatures.

Signer Attached Documents - Whenever the completion of a transaction requires the signer to provide supplemental materials to the sender (e.g., copy of driver's license, voided check), SmartSign Web may now be configured to prompt the signer to upload these supporting documents directly into the transaction file, eliminating the time and hassle of having to track them down and include them in the file after the transaction is completed.

Enhanced Signature Template Management - When documents are updated, new content is added or removed that change the location of data fields and signature areas. Users can now upload new versions and edit previously saved signature templates. New templates are stored with the forms in reusable document templates. This saves time and effort adapting to form changes. Saved signature templates are automatically applied to documents when uploaded by users or through integration with the eOriginal web services. This saves the senders the time of having to identify which signature template must be applied to each document.

Streamlined Sending Experience - Sending a package of documents for signature just got easier. The upload, configuration and sending process has been simplified into a two-step process without sacrificing flexibility. The eOriginal forms and signature template management enables customers to pre-define document packages and auto-populate documents into a transaction ready for signature.

Enhanced Workflow Management - Senders can identify optional signers, create customized instructions for signers, apply overrides on most every default setting for a specific user, configure every option for their signers in the signing room, define transaction-wide retention policies and much more!
