Dallas, TX (PRWEB) May 5, 2010
TLC Envirotech, Inc. (TLC), a leading supplier of chemical-free water treatment systems for industrial and commercial cooling towers, has named John C. Pouland chief executive officer. He will be based at TLC’s headquarters in Dallas and will report to the company’s board of directors.
Pouland joins TLC Envirotech from Siemens, the international energy and industrial firm where he served as Vice President, Corporate Account Manager for the US Public Sector, with responsibilities for corporate sales and contracting strategy for Cities, Airports and the Federal Government.
Prior to Siemens, Pouland served as Regional Administrator of the US General Services Administration and was the Executive Director of the Texas General Services Commission.
Pouland holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a Law Degree from the University of Houston.
"John has an outstanding background and is a great fit for this important position. As energy efficiency and resource conservation become increasingly important to government and commercial building owners and operators, John’s relevant experience in both spheres will be of great benefit to TLC," noted Dale Steffens, founder and chief technology officer of TLC.
"I am excited to be joining TLC Envirotech, I believe the company’s proven proprietary water-saving technology will experience rapidly growing demand in the coming months, not only here in Dallas but throughout the southern US," said Pouland. "TLC Envirotech’s systems and its team are making a difference in the efficient use of water for cooling towers, and I am pleased to become a part of that.”
TLC Envirotech, Inc., founded in 1999, was started by Dale Steffens to commercialize its patented chemical-free water treatment technology. In 2001 the company raised capital from a group of investors led by Easton Hunt Capital Partners, LP of New York. Since then the company has continued to grow and currently has equipment installed in a number of school districts, government and commercial facilities throughout Texas, and other parts of the U.S.
