Voalté, a leading developer of innovative point-of-care communications software on smartphone devices has announced seven new appointments, adding strength to the company’s sales, engineering, and account management expertise.
“These seven talented individuals are a terrific addition to our team,” said Rob Campbell, CEO of Voalté. “As we grow, we are committed to strengthening the scope of phenomenal support for our customers.”
Mark Burke, a seasoned account service professional, joins Voalté as the South Central regional account manager. Prior to joining Voalté, he served as a senior national account manager for the MCI Corporation. He has also worked for Vocera, Cisco and Emergin. Burke is based in Plano, Texas.
Sara Akroyd, based in Largo, Fla. is currently enrolled at the St. Petersburg College of Nursing and will be Voalté’s first care specialist. Akroyd has a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Medicine and served the country by flying helicopters in Iraq with the National Guard.
Steve Sturniolo was appointed as the Southeast regional account manager. Sturniolo brings with him nearly 20 years of experience in Information Technology and healthcare systems. He most recently served as a sales executive with Hill-Rom Company, Inc., a leading manufacturer of smart beds and medical technology. Sturniolo is based in Canton, Ga.
Scott Newman is joining the Voalté team as a software developer. In his new position, Newman will be responsible for working on handhelds and desktop clients. He has worked with a variety of operating systems and languages and has over 12 years of experience in software design and development. He most recently worked with MITRE on Department of Defense projects. Newman holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Connecticut.
Taylor Anderson joins Voalté as the Voalté One product manager. Prior to joining Voalté, Anderson worked in code design and development for four years. He later worked for Ericsson as a global product manager and for Comdial as a telecommunication product manager. Taylor received his Electrical Engineering degree from Vanderbilt and an MBA from the University of Florida.
Nick Szenberg will serve as a sales analyst. Szenberg has a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of South Florida, and he recently completed an internship with 88Brands in Shanghai, China.
Jeff Palmer, a former system administrator, joins the company as a field service engineer. He will be responsible for installing and configuring Voalté One systems in hospitals throughout the U.S. and Canada. Palmer has over 12 years of industry experience and is an expert in enterprise wide system design and installation.
Newman, Anderson, Szenberg and Palmer are additions to the company’s Sarasota office.
